Started in 2014 in the seating area of Jeremiah's Brewed Awakenings, DeKalb FriendsGiving has grown from creating community for 200 people in one location to connecting with more than 2,000 people across the entire county! As you can imagine, the logistics and costs of creating a meal of that size are not cheap. With the generous support of many people throughout our community, we have been able to keep this meal going for 10 years now!

 

While, in years past, we have been happy to accept food donations, the scale of the meal has grown to the point where we can get amazing pricing by purchasing in bulk, and preparing the food is much easier using ingredients that are packaged in bulk.
